Approved 2019–20 School Budget
Geneva City School District voters approved a $56.59 million budget for the 2019–20 school year. The budget includes a 3.2 percent increase to the tax levy, estimated at $20,09 million. The increase is within the district’s “2 percent” tax levy cap.
The table provides a comparison of the three major components of the 2019–20 budget. The budget reflects the board’s continued commitment to control expenditures without sacrificing the level of services provided to students. Between Jan. 1, 2018 and Jan. 1, 2019, the Consumer Price Index increased 2.44 percent.
