    (1)  Ballot may be marked with a pen or pencil. (2) To vote on the ballot, make a single cross “X” mark or a single check “√” mark in the voting square.  (3) Any erasure or mark in a voting square other than a single cross “X” mark or a single check “√” mark will render the ballot blank as to that item. (4) Any mark or erasure outside of a voting square and any defacing or tearing of the ballot is unlawful, and will render the entire ballot void. (5) If you mark the ballot wrongly, or erase anything on it or tear or deface it, return it to the clerk for a new ballot.

    School Budget Vote

    RESOLVED, that the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent for Administrative Services, Director of Business and Finance and the Finance/Audit Committee, adopt the 2018-2019 Geneva City School District Budget in the amount of $55,390,357 and the amount of the Tax Levy to be established at $19,467,849, and is authorized to levy the necessary tax therefor.

    Proposition #2: Bus Acquisition

    Shall the bond resolution adopted by the Board of Education of the City School District of the City of Geneva, New York, dated March 12, 2018, authorizing the acquisition of (7) 65-passenger school buses, at an estimated maximum cost of $117,500 each, all at an estimated maximum aggregate cost of $822,500, less trade-in value, if any; the levy of a tax to be collected in annual installments therefor; and, if the proposition for the approval of such bond resolution shall have been approved by at least a sixty percent vote, the issuance of debt obligations of the School District as may be necessary, not to exceed $822,500, may be issued in excess of the constitutional debt limit of the School District pursuant to applicable law, all be approved?

    Proposition #3: Capital Improvement Phase IV and Safety/Security Upgrades

    Shall the bond resolution adopted by the Board of Education of the Geneva City School District, New York, dated March 22, 2018, authorizing capital improvements consisting of construction and reconstruction of existing school buildings and facilities, various site improvements and the acquisition of certain original furnishings, equipment, and apparatus and other incidental improvements required in connection therewith for such construction and school use, all at an estimated maximum aggregate cost of $6,000,000; and to appropriate and expend from the existing capital reserve fund $1,100,000 for such costs, and that the balance of such cost, or so much thereof as may be necessary, shall be raised by the levy of a tax to be collected in annual installments, with such tax to be offset by state aid available therefor; and, in anticipation of such tax, debt obligations of the school district as may be necessary not to exceed $4,900,000 shall be issued, and, if the proposition for the approval of such bond resolution shall have been approved by at least a sixty percent vote, such obligations may be issued in excess of the constitutional debt limit of the school district pursuant to applicable law, all be approved?
