Degrees and Certifications:
It is with great pleasure that I serve the Geneva City School District as assistant principal of North Street School. The Geneva City School District has been my professional home since 1996, as I began my teaching career as a 5th grade teacher in North Street School room 315. Student academic success, social-emotional development, and establishing lifelong learners has been at the heart of my daily experiences with children for over 20 years. My passion for curriculum and instruction, as well as staff development, also led me to become both a mathematics instructional coach at North Street School and a personalized learning instructional coach at the district level.
My professional journey afforded me educational experiences at SUNY Geneseo, Nazareth College, and most recently, SUNY Oswego where I obtained my Certification of Advanced Study in educational leadership. Lessons learned throughout all of those educational opportunities instilled in me the knowledge, compassion, values, and determination necessary to lead all children to live lives of consequence, as the Geneva City School District mission ensures.
In addition to my professional background, I am personally pleased to call Geneva my home. My husband and I have lived in Geneva since 2002 and both of my children attend the Geneva City Schools. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family, playing board games with my children, golfing, and watching the Geneva Generals youth hockey teams play as my son’s “#1 Hockey Mom”!
One of my recent guides in educational leadership stated that we should lead with equity, excellence, and energy in order to ensure academic achievement regardless of background. Twenty-first century learning is packed full of wonderful opportunities for all of our children, and it is with integrity and commitment that I promise to lead all North Street School staff, students, and families down a road to success.
