Advisory Councils

  • The superintendent launched two advisory councils in 2020: the Parent Advisory Council and the Teacher Advisory Council. A Student Advisory Council will be launched soon.

    The purpose of the Parent Advisory Council is to provide input on ways to improve communication and parent engagement. The council also serves to:

    • ensure effective involvement of all parents
    • provide information to parents
    • encourage parents to bring questions, concerns, and ideas to the attention of administration
    • share, provide and communicate information to district parents

    Any parent or guardian interested in joining the council should e-mail our public relations officer. The council meets quarterly.

    The next meeting will be in January.

     

    Teacher Advisory Council

    The purpose of the Superintendent's Teacher Advisory Council is to provide input on ways to improve communication and teacher engagement. The council also serves to:

    • ensure effective involvement of all teachers
    • provide information to teachers
    • encourage teachers to bring questions, concerns, and ideas to the attention of administration
    • share, provide and communicate information to district teachers

    All teachers are invited to sign up for a council meeting on a rotating basis, with a limit of two teachers per building per meeting. The council meets quarterly. Sign up for a Teacher Advisory Council.
