Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Aracelis Ayala

I am thrilled to be part of the Geneva City School District as an assistant principal at North Street School. I was born in Puerto Rico and arrived in New York in 1995. I started my educational career in New York at the Rochester City School District as a bilingual teacher, where I taught for 24 years. I have a passion for learning and education, and I believe all children can learn and succeed.

I graduated from the University of Puerto Rico with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education in Spanish. I completed my first master’s degree in bilingual education at SUNY Brockport and my second master’s degree in educational leadership from St. John Fisher University.

Besides work, I like to spend time with my family and friends. I like reading, writing, cooking, riding a bike, and going for hikes and walks.

I am thankful for the opportunity to work in this beautiful community and look forward to continuing to build relationships with our students and families.
