Broadly speaking, the period between 600–1450 was an era when newer world civilizations matured, largely on the foundation of older cultures that had collapsed or faded away. During this time period we saw the increased emergence of Empires across the globe. Additionally, these empires became increasingly interdependent as regional and trans-regional trade networks continued to develop.
