GMS School Newspaper

The Panther Post

  • As everyone knows, most middle schools have a newspaper that is published by its students. Why should GMS be any different? We certainly have stories to tell. Our students come from a variety of interesting backgrounds. Plus, we have the advantage of lots of technology! The Newspaper Club usually meets every Tuesday from 2:35–3:05 p.m. (ET) in Mr. McDermott's room. We discuss writing or journalism topics, brainstorm and assign stories, and have peer editing sessions. You will also work with our student editors, who will help you refine your piece before it is finalized and published. We have reporters, photographers, and artists on our staff. If you're interested in helping us produce our student newspaper, please contact Mr. McDermott in room 117.
