The failure to mail a statement or the failure of a property owner to receive a statement will not affect the validity of the taxes or the interest prescribed by law (New York State Real Property Tax Law 922). The law does not allow the collecting officer or any other official to waive the penalty for any reason.
The Geneva City Schools tax bills are mailed out at the of August. You should receive your bill on or before Sept. 1.
School tax payment checks should be made payable to the Ontario County Treasurer. Be sure to include the tear-off slip for each installment with your payment.
