Community Engagement
Overview
The Office of Community Engagement has oversight of the 21st Century Community Learning Centers, which support the creation of community learning centers that provide academic enrichment opportunities during non-school hours for children, particularly students who attend high-poverty and low-performing schools.
Mission
The mission of The Geneva City School District 21st Century Community Learning Center (CCLC) program is to provide expanded learning opportunities and student enrichment activities, as well as meaningful opportunities for family engagement, outside of regular school hours. Geneva CSD will involve schools and the community to offer after-school and summer activities designed to produce self-motivated, college and career-ready, and creative lifelong learners who are prepared to be responsible and engaged citizens.
Eligibility
All Geneva City School students in grades K–12 are eligible to attend Before and After School Programs at their respective schools at no cost; however, space is limited and priority is given to students who meet grant-determined criteria.
