008: Conference Approval Process

To request approval for attending a conference, please follow the steps outlined below:

Approval Steps

  1. Obtain Written Approval
    Secure written approval from your immediate supervisor.
  2. Provide Budget Information
    Consult with your supervisor to determine the appropriate budget code.
  3. Complete the Conference Approval Form
    Fill out the Conference Approval Form in Frontline. If the conference is not already listed, create a new entry.
  4. Submit the Completed Form
    Submit the Conference Approval Form, ensuring it includes the relevant budget information, through Frontline.

Additional Considerations

  • If the conference is funded by a grant, budget information must be obtained from the Office of Business and Finance. Note: Supervisor approval and/or Office of Teaching and Learning approval are still required.
  • The Frontline system will notify you of the approval status, whether the conference is approved, denied, or if further information is required.
