008: Conference Approval Process
To request approval for attending a conference, please follow the steps outlined below:
Approval Steps
- Obtain Written Approval
Secure written approval from your immediate supervisor. - Provide Budget Information
Consult with your supervisor to determine the appropriate budget code. - Complete the Conference Approval Form
Fill out the Conference Approval Form in Frontline. If the conference is not already listed, create a new entry. - Submit the Completed Form
Submit the Conference Approval Form, ensuring it includes the relevant budget information, through Frontline.
Additional Considerations
- If the conference is funded by a grant, budget information must be obtained from the Office of Business and Finance. Note: Supervisor approval and/or Office of Teaching and Learning approval are still required.
- The Frontline system will notify you of the approval status, whether the conference is approved, denied, or if further information is required.
