Profile of a Graduate

Geneva City Schools has spent a lot of time looking at what we value and what’s important to us as a school community, with a real emphasis on the skills and knowledge students need to have when they leave our halls and go out into the world. We used the results to develop a Profile of a Graduate for what a Geneva alum should be, including the key competencies we’d like them to have. We believe all of our graduates should be:

Hopeful Humans

Who prioritize physical and mental health, find joy, and practice healthy habits for overall well-being and success in both community and career.

Passionate Advocates

Who ask for what they need, know what motivates them, and actively seek opportunities to contribute to a better future for themselves and others.

Innovative Problem-Solvers

Who imagine possibilities, innovate to learn, and apply deep knowledge as they collaboratively engage with complex challenges.

Critical Thinkers

Who ask questions, seek multiple perspectives, and commit to continuous learning as they courageously challenge assumptions.

Resilient Risk-Takers

Who adapt to change, learn from experience, and step outside of their comfort zones as they persistently pursue their goals.

Compassionate Communicators

Who understand themselves, promote inclusivity, and listen with curiosity as they openly and willingly engage with others.
