NS Extracurricular Activities
- 4-H Club
- After School Book Club
Mrs. Joslyn and Mrs. Scheemaker will be running two book clubs in the library. The list of Book Club books can be found on North Street Library’s Homepage in the Book Lists Link. We will be selecting books from the list based on input from club members. Our first book club will be for all you Graphic Novel Fans, and will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The second club will be for fans of nonfiction, and will meet on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Graphic Book Club meets on Tuesdays.
- G.U.Y.S. Club
- Homework Help
Homework Help will run Tuesday through Friday. The purpose of this club is to provide a quiet place for students complete their work and gain additional support if needed. Mrs. Case, Mrs. McDermott, and Mrs. Zaroogian will be running this club.
- Nonfiction Book Club
- Math Club
Ms. Hull will be running the Math Club this year on Wednesdays and Fridays. This club is designed to give kids more advanced mathematics than they get at school. In this club, students will to learn to think independently, critically and creatively and will work towards become lifelong learners through the exploration of math. Students do not have to be great at math to join this club, either. They just need to love math and be ready to work hard and have fun!
- Newspaper Club
Mrs. Ford and Ms. Swanson are running our Newspaper club. Newspaper Club will meet every Wednesday until the end of the year. Students in this club will learn how to interview, photograph, and write articles. Two issues of our school newspaper, The Panther Podium will be produced and distributed during the year. Space is limited.
- North Street Leaders
This club is a student leadership group lead by Ms. Kogut, Mrs. Bement, and Mrs. Moody. This year we will be focusing on teaching leadership skills such as communicating with the student body, coordinating activities for students, building community relationships, and mentorship with younger students. This group is open to all students. Our first meeting date will be Oct. 24. We will meet every other Tuesday for the remainder of the school year.
- PAWS Club
- Spanish Club
Each Wednesday students are welcome to join Mrs. McGowan, Ms. Kogut, and Ms. Anderson in the exploration of the Spanish Language and Latin American Culture. All students are welcome regardless of Spanish proficiency. We hope that our Spanish speaking students will join us and further develop their Spanish Literacy skills as well as develop leadership skills in teaching others about their language and culture.
- Writing Club
Ms. Martin will instruct this group. Explore how authors use the Writing Process through the art of poetry. Learn how to use figurative language to make your poems come to life! Students will plan, draft, revise, edit, and even publish their very own poetry books! This club will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
