    Network

    Local Area Network between all five buildings. Connected with single and multimode fiber. Windows 2003 provides application/policy deployment and storage for students and staff.

    Computers

    Geneva City Schools is committed to providing access to the latest technology for students & staff. Purchases made are determined by curriculum needs. 

    Software

    Elementary: Microsoft Office, Math Facts in a Flash, STAR, Breakthrough to Literacy, Pearson Successmaker, Read Naturally, and Kid Biz.

    Secondary: Microsoft Office, School Island, and Schoolmaster.

    Central Printshop

    All employees may submit requests for copies to be made of any document that do not violate copyright or FERPA laws. If a need for copies exceeds 50 impressions, a request should be submitted to the Printshop Department. All requests will be done within three days.

  • Help Desk

    The Information Technology Help Desk provides first-level contact and problem resolution for School District users, to include students, teachers, staff and administrators. The Help Desk can be reached at extension 1010 or techhelp@genevacsd.org. Technology Help Desk staff provide support on all School District applications, troubleshoot computer problems and will advise on the appropriate action. If technical assistance cannot be provided over the phone, a member of the Technology Team will visit the site to resolve the issue. The Helpdesk prioritizes all requests by the following guidelines:

    1. Critical operations affecting student safety
    2. Student learning and classroom needs
    3. Network issues
    4. Department/operational needs
    5. Special requests

    The Help Desk also provides support to the DOCSTAR System, a digital archive of School District records for students and staff. More information can be obtained by calling (315) 781-0400 ext. 1010.
