Ms. Williams

  • Welcome to Ms. Williams Music Room!

Ms. Williams teaches music at North Street School.

Ms. Williams comes from a musical family. Her father was her high school band director and a jazz pianist.  Her grandfather played the fiddle.  Ms. Williams’ mother, a retired kindergarten teacher, performed as accompanist for her and three brothers at NYSSMA solo festivals and directed a church choir. “Everyone in the family took piano lessons and studied a band instrument!” Ms. Williams encourages all students to learn to play an instrument, and still hangs out with her second grade music teacher.

Ms. Williams obtained a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education at the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam and a Master of Music degree in Music Education at Ithaca College School of Music. She received her Orff-Schulwerk Teacher Certification from the Eastman School of Music.
