Vision Plan

Geneva’s five-year guide — a living framework that brings together our mission, core values, district priorities, Profile of a Graduate, and Continuous Improvement Cycle.

Where our vision begins

This Vision Plan is Geneva’s guide for the next five years — designed to be practical and enduring, while allowing space for reflection and renewal. It replaces a traditional strategic plan by connecting the key elements that define who we are and where we’re going.

Our Foundation Forward

Our shared purpose, principles, and priorities guide every decision and connection in Geneva.

Mission

To educate and graduate all students with the essential skills and knowledge to live lives of consequence.

Core Values

The Geneva City School District’s eight core values guide how we serve and grow together as a community.

Priorities

Geneva City Schools' district priorities define what matters most in our collective work—and how we measure progress toward our mission. Each year, these priorities are refined through community input, reflecting our ongoing commitment to safety, support, academic achievement, and equitable access.

While the priorities may evolve, the intent remains constant: to create schools where every student feels supported, challenged, and inspired to succeed. The priorities guide decision-making across classrooms and departments, ensuring that resources, programs, and partnerships align with the needs of our students and staff.

Learning That Lasts

The knowledge, skills, and mindsets we foster help Geneva students thrive in learning and life.

Profile of a Graduate

The Geneva City School District’s Profile of a Graduate defines what it means to be truly prepared—not just for college or career, but for life. Created through student and community input, it reflects our shared belief that education should nurture curiosity, character, and purpose, equipping every student with the skills and mindsets needed to thrive in an ever-changing world.

Progress in Motion

Our continuous process of reflection and renewal strengthens culture, growth, and transformation.

The Geneva City School District’s improvement cycle is a continuous system for reflection, planning, and progress. Developed by Superintendent Bo Wright and the Geneva City School District leadership team and inspired by WestEd’s Four Domains for School and District Improvement (2023), it connects classroom goals to districtwide priorities through four drivers: culture, talent, growth, and transformation.
