The Geneva City School District proposed budget passed with over 78 percent voter approval. Candidates Christen Davis and Emily Fisher won election to five-year terms on the school board.

 

“I am thankful to all of our voters for their support of Geneva’s staff and students,” said Acting Superintendent Kathleen Davis. “The passage of this budget will allow us to build forward in Geneva, maintaining excellent programs and implementing a multitude of supports and safety nets to help our students on the heels of a two-year pandemic.”

 

Additionally, voters approved the bus purchase, proposition 2, with over 84 percent in favor.
 

The Geneva Public Library budget was approved with over 72 percent in favor.

El presupuesto propuesto del Distrito Escolar de Geneva fue aprobado con más de un 78 por ciento de aprobación de los votantes. Los candidatos Christen Davis y Emily Fisher ganaron la elección para un término de cinco años en el comité escolar.

 

“Estoy muy agradecida a todos nuestros votantes por su apoyo al personal y a los estudiantes de Geneva”, dijo la superintendente en funciones Kathleen Davis. “La aprobación de este presupuesto nos permitirá continuar el desarrollo en Geneva, manteniendo programas excelentes e implementando una variedad de apoyos y redes de protección para ayudar a nuestros estudiantes luego de una pandemia de dos años”.  

 

Además, los votantes aprobaron la compra de autobuses, la propuesta 2, con más de un 84 porciento a favor.
 

El presupuesto para la Biblioteca Pública de Geneva se aprobó con más de un 72 porciento a favor.
