New GMS AP appointed

A Manchester-Shortville educator was appointed the new Geneva Middle School assistant principal.

Ashley Powers will join the district this summer. She has a master’s in educational leadership from the American College of Education, Indianapolis, Ind., and a master’s in special education from St. John Fisher College, Rochester, as well as a bachelor’s in history from Nazareth College.

>Powers currently works in the Manchester-Shortsville Central School District as a social studies teacher, Building Council member, and testing coordinator. She has worked there for 19 years.

 

“We look forward to welcoming Ms. Powers to Geneva,” said Superintendent Bo Wright. “She joins a strong team of talented administrators and staff at the middle school.”

“I am truly excited to work alongside such dedicated staff, engage with wonderful students, and collaborate with families to support their children's education,” said Powers. “I applied to Geneva Middle School because I want to be a part of the success that is happening here and help students and the school strive for greatness. I believe that together, we can create an enriching and supportive learning environment for all.”

Una educadora de Manchester-Shorstville fue nombrada principal auxiliar de la Geneva Middle School. 

Ashley Powers se unirá al distrito este verano; Tiene una maestría en liderato educativo del
