To launch the 2019–20 Agricultural Education courses for Geneva High School, the district hosted Ag in our Schools Day Friday, Feb. 8 at Geneva High School. Students in eighth–11th grade had the opportunity to visit booths, interact with professionals and businesses from our area to learn more about the vast work of agriculture in a fair-like event. The goal for this day was to promote agriculture and encourage our students to enroll in an agriculture course for the following school year.
Ag Ed is a new program launched in the 2018–19 school year at Geneva Middle School to open the many possibilities of Finger Lakes agriculture to our students. The program will expand to the high school next year.
