At a special meeting on Aug. 26, 2020, the Geneva City School District approved reopening plans for the 2020–21 school year.
Plans allow for a hybrid or virtual option at Geneva Middle and High School, and an in-person or virtual option at West and North Street School.
Although school was originally slated to open Sept. 8, the district pushed the start date to Sept. 10 to allow teachers more time to prepare for the new models of instruction. Opening will be staggered, with some students attending for the first time on Sept. 10, while others join the district on Sept. 11 or 14, depending on building and last time. Check our your school’s schedule.
All in-person instruction will follow CDC social distancing and masking guidelines, and the district has implemented an extensive cleaning and disinfecting schedule, both in the buildings and on the buses.
